Call for Pink Granite Contributors

Good afternoon and a big ol’ Happy Galentine’s Day to all the ladies around the Texas Capitol today. I’m sitting in the Dallas airport at a time I was supposed to have been home for hours, pre-Galentine’s Day Happy Hour, and it’s become abundantly clear that the scheduling and content of something like Pink Granite cannot rest with one galentine alone.

Luckily for me tonight one beautiful goddess, snowflake, princess (insert any other Leslie Knope-ism here) Terri Broussard Williams stepped up tonight to save me.

However me make sure this doesn’t happen again - if you are interested in becoming a Pink Granite Contributor in any way (helping host events, writing blog posts, interviews, social media, etc.) Please let me know.

I’ve even made a handy form below that you can complete! The idea here is that we all have back-up on events and no happy hour suffers because of an airport fire (sigh).

You guys are the best and hope to see you all tonight!

Today Was a Good Day

Today at lunch time I hosted the very first “Pink Granite Party.” It was a lovely and intimate get together of about 20 or so ladies from all walks of life in and around the Texas Capitol. There were seasoned professionals there, as well as interns in the room that had lit.ra.lee just come from job interviews. This is 2018 and ladies are helping ladies.

If you were there, thank you for making it so much fun and making Pink Granite a real thing that doesn’t just live on the internet. I was nervous, put at ease and humbled all at the same time.

We’ll do it all again soon.

Polished Austin Dinner, August 15th
jenn jett.jpg

If you're like me you're always looking for new ways to engage new networks of women around Austin. Polished Austin is hosting a dinner event on Wednesday, August 15th at 7 PM. Polished is a women's network that focuses on personal and professional development with a Christian foundation. The dinner will be at the Peached Tortilla and included a Enneagram workshop. I had never heard of this term but you can learn more about it here.

Here's information from Polished's latest email:

Dinner, worksheets, and wine...oh my! We're coming together for community and getting down to business to discover (or learn more) about our Enneagram personality types.

Hope to see you there!

A little more about our speaker, Jenn Jett:

Jenn Jett is a dreamer, a doer and a champion of risk takers. When she is not running her design business, she is encouraging & unleashing women through a gathering she hosts twice a year in Colorado called Camp Well – a place where dreamers and doers who are weary and overwhelmed can come and be reminded of who God created them to be, and walk confidently in their calling. Think summer camp for adults! Her personal story is one of redemption and hope and her desire is that through that story others would find freedom.

Her discovery and understanding of the Enneagram, in light of God's Word, has been a powerful tool in her life to help her uncover and find confidence in her true God-designed self.

So...what are you waiting for? Reserve your spot now!

Count me in!
