Now that special session is over and candidates are filing for office - fundraising for the 2018 election is in full swing in Texas. The annual Texas vs. OU Football Game is a BIG fundraising weekend in Dallas. This year is no different.

Even if you care very little for the game (who is that really though?), it's a fun weekend to venture north and spend time with members and fellow government affairs folks. Plus - the state fair is a fun option for those without a ticket to the game or interest in the game. Last year I flew up, attended a handful of events on my own, and then my husband drove up and accompanied me to the game and the fair (he's the Longhorn) so you may be able to squeeze in some personal fun too!

On a side note - I know some folks that have used this bus service there and back and love it. I'm not sure that they'll allow you to bring a cooler on board though...

On my events page I typically only list fundraisers for female candidates. This is because I only have so much time in a day and this blog is all about the ladies! So if you look there, you'll only see the Texas vs. OU events for women. However here is a more comprehensive listing of events for the weekend and who you can contact if you'd like to attend.
